Important Crew Dates For Spring 2012 and Update on "The Final Sprint"

Monday, April 2- Friday, April 6 – Spring Break (aka Crew Spring Training)
Spring break is at a critical point in our spring racing season and practices (usually 2 a day) are essential for building strength, working on form and testing boat line ups. All athletes (Varsity and Novice) are required to attend practice during spring break. Because we double up practices during this time period, missing spring break means that an athlete will miss almost 25% of planned spring practices. A more detailed schedule will be forthcoming form the coaches closer to the beginning of April. There are Regattas scheduled at the beginning and end of Spring Break, March 31 at home and April 7 at St. Andrew's in Delaware.  If you have questions on this, please reach out to our liaisons, Deb Jospin (djospin [at] comcast [dot] net) (boys) or Ginny Beakes-Read (read [dot] ginny [at] gmail [dot] com) (girls).

Saturday, May 5 – Live and Silent Auction at Foley and Lardner in Washington Harbour Plaza
This fun-filled evening will take place at the stunning offices of Foley and Lardner, in the Washington Harbour Plaza, on "K" Street, above the Sequoia Restaurant. All parents/guardians and their friends are welcome to enjoy sweeping views of the Potomac, from the Kennedy Center to Key Bridge. Plan to join us  in enjoying live music and delicious refreshments while celebrating and supporting B-CC Crew.

Friday, June 1 – Spring Picnic, Candy Cane City
We are moving the picnic to the weekend following Memorial Day this year. Come and celebrate the season's end as we send off our seniors.

Over The Finish Line on "The Final Sprint"
Thanks to the generous support of B-CC Crew Families and Rock Creek Rowing we exceeded our fund raising goals and have ordered two new Resolute 8+s  scheduled to arrive for spring. Congratulations to all!
